The Department of Biomechanics at the Faculty of Physical Therapy, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), continues to shine with outstanding accomplishments on the international stage. During the “3rd International Rehabilitation and Wellbeing Congress”, held under the patronage of Skylife and the International Society of Ergonomics (ISE), MSA University students secured top positions in the final evaluations of the First Occupational Ergonomics Course in Egypt.

The MSA UK Central Quality Assurance and International Partnerships Unit, led by Mrs. Mona Afifi, recently organized the bi-annual Board of Study (BoS) meetings in line with the university's quality assurance calendar.

The Faculty of Management Sciences and the Accounting Department at October University For Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) recently had the honor of hosting a visit from Ms. Nurihan AbdelBary ElTatawy, FCCA, M.A., the Market Development Manager for ACCA Egypt. This visit was attended by esteemed faculty members, including the Dean, Professor Dr. Elsayed Nagy; the Head of the Accounting Department, Professor Dr. Mohamed Eldeeb; and the Academic Coordinator for the department, Associate Professor Dr. Zakia Abdelmoneim. The event also welcomed an elite group of faculty members from the Accounting Department: Associate Professor Dr. Sheref Elhalaby, Dr. Dalida Adel, Dr. Wafaa Ramzy, Dr. Dalia Kaoud, and Dr. Marwa Rabi, along with Assistant Lecturer Yomna ElAraby. Approximately 180 students from various levels and majors participated in this enlightening session.
 

Under the esteemed guidance of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, The Faculty of Management Sciences at MSA University successfully hosted the 3rd International Conference on Resilience and Sustainability in Management on September 11-12, 2024. The event featured an impressive lineup of experts, including Prof. Dr. Khayri Abdelhamed, President of MSA University, and other prominent figures such as Dr. El Sayed Nagy, Prof. Dr. Gina El Fiky, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Abdeldayem, and Prof. Dr. Doaa Salman.

Day one saw over 20 speakers addressing crucial topics ranging from green finance to the influence of social media on customer loyalty, offering deep insights into the intersection of sustainability and modern management challenges.

The Ismailia International Documentary and Short Film Festival is one of the most prominent and prestigious festivals in the Arab world, the first edition of which was launched in 1991.

The Faculty of Engineering at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) conducted its annual exhibition was inaugurated on Tuesday, August 13 under the esteemed patronage of Dr. Nawal El-Degwi, Head of the University's Board of Trustees, and Professor Dr. Khairy Abdel Hamid, President of the University.

Faculty of Management Sciences would like to express its congratulations and appreciation to Dr. Asmaa Hamdy who has been awarded the “Certified Sustainable Development Ambassador” from the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and (The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD).

She was awarded this Certification after achieving the highest cumulative score in the Introductory, Specialized and Professional level of the training program that enables her to be awarded as “top achiever” after presenting comprehensive understanding of environmental protection, holistic sustainable development, social justice, the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), green and circular economy as tools to achieve sustainable development.

Our talented biotechnologists enjoyed a one-of-a-kind off-campus experience at the Central Lab of the Horticulture Research Institute within the Agriculture Research Center.

The Faculty of Biotechnology organized a 2-day workshop under the title of “Fundamentals of chemical analysis and liquid chromatographic separation techniques”, in which the workshop was attended by 60 students and a teaching assistant.

The latest graduates from the mechatronics department at the Faculty of Engineering, MSA University participated in the distinguished scientific exhibition for graduation projects by students from Egyptian universities and the Military Technical College.

The event was honored by the presence of General Abdel-Majid Saqr, Minister of Defense and Military Production, and Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, along with several ministers, leaders of the main branches, military commanders, military attachés, and several university presidents, deans of engineering faculties, vice-deans, and public figures.

MSA UK Summer Abroad programme’s philosophy is Engendering Future leaders and developing their graduate Attributes in order to create Global citizens. This year MSA students of the faculties of Arts & Design, Languages, Management Sciences and Mass communication, were granted the opportunity to travel to MSA collaborative partner in the UK University of Bedfordshire as part of MSA summer Abroad Programme 2024 to study Data Analytics adapting Python, Content Creation TV and Radio as well as Business Analytics, the courses were delivered entirely by university of Bedfordshire Esteemed professors and staff whom commended the students performance and engagement in class.

They also had a wonderful opportunity to visit Britain cultural sites.

Visit of the Faculty og Pharmacy's students at MSA University to Egypt Centre for Research and Regenerative Medicine (E.C.R.R.M.) at the Egyptian Ministry of Defense, the executing entity of the Egyptian Genome Project.

As part of the Pharmacy College's commitment to activating field scientific visits as a practical application to broaden knowledge and develop practical skills for students in the field of genetic research and raise awareness about the Egyptian Genome Project, the college had the privilege of hosting a visit for students of the "Cell and Pharmacogene Therapy" course to the Medical Research Center and Innovative Medicine of the Ministry of Defense, the executing entity of the Egyptian Genome Project. This project is the largest scientific project in modern Egyptian history and is the cornerstone of personalized and precise medicine and the focus of all medical research in the coming years.

We take great pride in having the privilege of hosting the 2nd IMSA Conference, an insightful scientific event by the Faculty of Computer Science that brought together industry leaders, experts, and enthusiasts to explore the latest trends and advancements in technology and innovation.

The Faculty of Mass Communication at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) conducted an intensive training course on television journalism with a duration of three days under the supervision of TV journalism expert, Mr. Osama Radi, with the participation of renowned journalist Mr. Ahmed Abdel-Raouf from Akhbar Al-Youm.

The course included faculty members, teaching assistants, and students from MSA University's Faculty of Mass Communication, who benefited from hands-on training in state-of-the-art studios. Covering aspects of television journalism from news editing to production, it enhanced participants' skills and prepared them for media industry challenges while also providing valuable interaction with field experts.

The Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) hosted an outstanding workshop titled 'Kineo: New Era in Isokinetic', presented by Dr. Lorenzo Lusvardi, a renowned physiotherapist from Globus Company.

The Kineo machine, highlighted during the workshop, is a revolutionary ergonomic multitasking platform. It offers unmatched precision and effectiveness in personalizing muscle workouts. This cutting-edge technology supports functional recovery, training, and prevention, all in a single, safe machine.

An exciting and successful exhibition titled “Bridge the Gap 24” was held at October University for Modern Sciences & Arts (MSA University) Faculty of Engineering, Mechatronics Department, with the presence of several prestigious companies and representatives from some government agencies. The main objective of the exhibition was to enhance communication and interaction between the university and the industry. Up to 50 graduation projects in the field of mechatronics were showcased, where students presented their impressive ideas and innovations in this vital field.

The students had a wonderful opportunity to showcase their projects in front of companies and professionals at the exhibition. They used presentations, practical models, and working devices to creatively and professionally explain and demonstrate their projects. The attendees were able to view and interact with the project details and implementation methods.

The Faculty of Computer Science at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) celebrated the success of its scientific day "Deep Minds", where innovation and excellence were prominently displayed by our students. This year, we proudly showcased 67 exceptional course projects from all academic levels, reflecting outstanding performance and setting new benchmarks for quality and innovation.

In addition to the course projects, we are delighted to highlight the celebration of 40 distinguished graduation projects, selected from over 90 submissions. These projects, representing significant advancements in fields such as healthcare, manufacturing, fintech, and more, exemplify the dedication, hard work, and creativity of our students and faculty.

Within the framework of joint cooperation and activation of cooperation protocols, the Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) organized with the EG Physio Foundation an intensive course in physical therapy in the intensive care unit on the 6th and 7th of July.

The workshop provided a Triple Accreditation Certificate from EGADH, Knowledge Bridge, and Faculty of Physical Therapy, MSA University.

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) pursues an approach that outlines strategies that adopt sustainable development issues, the State Plan 2030, and the determinants and goals of the United Nations Sustainable Development (SDGs) announced in 2015, also known as the Global Goals, as a global call to action to end poverty, protect the planet from global warming and the effects of climate change, and ensure that all human beings enjoy peace and prosperity to reach the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.

Dr. Nawal El-Degwy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Prof. Dr. Khairy Abdel Hamid, President of the University, adopted this approach to improve lifestyles and human needs. The projects of the Interior Design Department this year came as a continuation of what began 6 years ago, and in this context, Prof. Dr. Tarek Saleh - Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design stated that the graduation projects this year came under the title: "Practical Solutions in Light of Climate Change"

The projects focused on confronting the phenomenon of climate change, and this topic has been presented to the scientific departments since the beginning of the fall semester 2023 within the framework of achieving the sustainable development goals in light of the Egypt Vision 2030 and sustainable development strategies, where the projects varied and the projects of the Interior Design Department focused on choosing sites to serve many governorates within the Egypt, which include Fayoum, the tenth of Ramadan and Safaga, in addition to the Sixth of October City. Where they faced new challenges with climate change, these projects Reflect innovation and adaptability to environmental transformations. By selecting local environmental materials, using renewable energy technologies, and designing spaces that interact positively with the surrounding environment.

The Faculty of Pharmacy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) recently hosted the inaugural ceremony for the discussion of graduation projects, attended by representatives from the partner institution, the University of Greenwich, along with a host of deans and faculty members from various public universities' pharmacy faculties and representatives from the pharmaceutical industry in Egypt. This year's opening ceremony for graduation projects was distinguished by the activation of collaboration protocols signed between the Faculty of Pharmacy and pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and pharmacies. Each company presented its products, offered job opportunities for students, and provided summer training opportunities in various fields.

In line with the national policy of supporting entrepreneurs and startups, and in alignment with the Innovators Support Fund (ISF) policy and MSA University’s strategic plan, MSA University is committed to fostering entrepreneurial spirit among its students.

Dr. Mai Magdy Abou El-Soud obtained her Master's degree in Radio and Television from Cairo University in 2017 and has been a valued member of the Faculty of Mass Communication at MSA University since 2011, initially joining as a teaching assistant.
