Within the framework of joint cooperation and activation of cooperation protocols, the Faculty of Physiotherapy organised with the EG Physio Foundation and under the patronage of the General Physicsl Therapy Syndicate an outstanding workshop entitled: "Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation" on Monday and Tuesday 29th& 30th of July

 

The workshop was presented by DR | Mahmoud Shalaby PT, MS, DPT, PRPC Master of Exercise Science, Brooklyn College, USA Doctor of Physical Therapy, Touro University, USA Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification,H&W Institute, USA.

 

The workshop discussed the following issues :

 

  • Understand the functional anatomy and physiology of the pelvic floor.
  • Gain thorough knowledge of the digestive process, recognize types of constipation and urinary dysfunctions, and understand the impact of pelvic floor dysfunction on overall bowel and bladder health.
  • Utilize comprehensive assessment techniques to evaluate bowel and bladder dysfunctions.
  • Develop and apply integrated therapeutic strategies, including muscle training, biofeedback, and manual therapy, while incorporating behavioral therapy and patient education.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and innovations, engage in hands-on practice with case studies, and develop strategies for ongoing patient care and support.

 

In addition to providing an intensive practical application on the exclusive Biofeedback device which is mainly used for pelvic floor dysfunction
