Seifeldin Helmy, Ganatalla Mohamed, and Habiba Hesham are three exceptional students who have provided researchers and practitioners with valuable tools to evaluate the antioxidant activity, which protects our cells from damage caused by free radicals. This kind of damage can lead to health issues such as cardiovascular diseases and cancer.
The students have developed three kits including the DCPIP Kit, the KMnO4 Kit, and the Methylene Blue Kit to assess the antioxidant activity of different compounds including ascorbic acid. The project was supervised by Prof. Gehan Safwat, Vice Dean of the Faculty and Prof. Emad Shalaby, an external Supervisor from Cairo University.
We value their ingenuity, scientific rigor, and commitment to improving global health outcomes through their pioneering contributions and we are excited to see their future innovations.
