The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) is dedicated to enriching student education through practical experiences that bridge the gap between theory and practice. Recently, we organized an insightful field trip to Raya Food Company, a leader in the food industry, providing our students with invaluable exposure to real-world business operations.  

The Faculty of Management Sciences and the Accounting Department at October University For Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) recently had the honor of hosting a visit from Ms. Nurihan AbdelBary ElTatawy, FCCA, M.A., the Market Development Manager for ACCA Egypt. This visit was attended by esteemed faculty members, including the Dean, Professor Dr. Elsayed Nagy; the Head of the Accounting Department, Professor Dr. Mohamed Eldeeb; and the Academic Coordinator for the department, Associate Professor Dr. Zakia Abdelmoneim. The event also welcomed an elite group of faculty members from the Accounting Department: Associate Professor Dr. Sheref Elhalaby, Dr. Dalida Adel, Dr. Wafaa Ramzy, Dr. Dalia Kaoud, and Dr. Marwa Rabi, along with Assistant Lecturer Yomna ElAraby. Approximately 180 students from various levels and majors participated in this enlightening session.
 

Under the esteemed guidance of H.E. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, The Faculty of Management Sciences at MSA University successfully hosted the 3rd International Conference on Resilience and Sustainability in Management on September 11-12, 2024. The event featured an impressive lineup of experts, including Prof. Dr. Khayri Abdelhamed, President of MSA University, and other prominent figures such as Dr. El Sayed Nagy, Prof. Dr. Gina El Fiky, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Abdeldayem, and Prof. Dr. Doaa Salman.

Day one saw over 20 speakers addressing crucial topics ranging from green finance to the influence of social media on customer loyalty, offering deep insights into the intersection of sustainability and modern management challenges.

Faculty of Management Sciences would like to express its congratulations and appreciation to Dr. Asmaa Hamdy who has been awarded the “Certified Sustainable Development Ambassador” from the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and (The National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD).

She was awarded this Certification after achieving the highest cumulative score in the Introductory, Specialized and Professional level of the training program that enables her to be awarded as “top achiever” after presenting comprehensive understanding of environmental protection, holistic sustainable development, social justice, the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), green and circular economy as tools to achieve sustainable development.

MSA UK Summer Abroad programme’s philosophy is Engendering Future leaders and developing their graduate Attributes in order to create Global citizens. This year MSA students of the faculties of Arts & Design, Languages, Management Sciences and Mass communication, were granted the opportunity to travel to MSA collaborative partner in the UK University of Bedfordshire as part of MSA summer Abroad Programme 2024 to study Data Analytics adapting Python, Content Creation TV and Radio as well as Business Analytics, the courses were delivered entirely by university of Bedfordshire Esteemed professors and staff whom commended the students performance and engagement in class.

They also had a wonderful opportunity to visit Britain cultural sites.

The faculty of management sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) proudly sent two teams to participate in the internal competition organized by the local CFA Society. The competition, which launched on July 27, 2024, provided an exciting opportunity for the university's budding finance and investment management students to showcase their skills and knowledge. Both teams from the Management Sciences Faculty demonstrated exceptional analytical capabilities, well-developed investment strategies, and a strong grasp of financial concepts throughout the various rounds of the competition.

The participation of the two teams not only highlighted the quality of the faculty of Management Sciences Programs, but also allowed the students to gain valuable real-world experience in a competitive high-stakes environment mirroring the financial industry.

The Faculty of Management Sciences Celebrates the Remarkable Achievement of Associate Professor Heba Mohamed Adel with our Talented MSc Students Ms. Mennatallah Khaled, Ms. Rahma Elsayed, Ms. Rawan Sameh Ali, and Ms. Farah Emam Ahmed.

The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) held an Advertising Projects' competition for the students enrolled in the Advertising and Media Campaign Module; Marketing and International Business programme.

The competition aims to provide marketing major students with an opportunity to present their proposed advertising and media campaigns designed to promote Egyptian Brands which are evaluated by a panel of marketing practitioners and decide on the best 4 campaigns and the winners are offered certificates of achievements.

The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) organized an exclusive sales workshop given by Mr. Shihap Eldeen Ahmed, Key account sales manager of BOSCH Home Appliances in Egypt to equip students with the art and science of closing deals while exploring how passion and communication could transform sales interactions into lasting client relationships.

The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) held a transformative session titled ‘Professional Certificates in Accounting,’ presented by Mr. Ahmed El-Sakhawy, a regional director of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).

This session provided students with a thorough understanding of the different types of professional accounting certificates, especially CMA (Certified Management Accountant), as well as the necessary steps to obtain these certifications.

The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) has invited Ahmed Bilal Manzoor the business relationship executive at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)- Middle East to have a very important visit on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 1:30 pm in SSB meeting room, in order to conduct an enlightening session on the qualification of the ACCA with the aim of benefiting the students of MSA.

The session is organized by Dr. Zakia Abdelmoneim the accounting coordinator and chaired by professor Mohamed eldeeb the head of accounting department. The session was attended by Dr.Dalida Adel and T.A Youmna Elaraby. This was the first visit to the university, and it is a part of series academic engagement visits to several universities to educate students. The number of attendees from different students majors and levels was about 70 students.

Additionally, this session provided valuable insights into the field of ACCA, during which students gain a deeper understanding of the benefits that come with the ACCA qualifications and the wide range of opportunities it provides in the accounting and finance sectors.

The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) took a significant stride in professional development by offering two ERP training courses in November 2023, in collaboration with Ultimate Academy.

The Second Symposium titled 'Economics Research Day' which was organized by the Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) was a resounding success.

The Faculty of Management Sciences arranged a remarkable session with the goal of providing all students with thorough career opportunities in the finance field. The session was titled” Employability in the Finance Field” and presented by Abdel Rahman Akram, who is currently a Supervisor at the Financial Institutions and Sustainable Finance division at Societe Arabe Internationale De Banque (SAIB).

The session was in cinema hall, SSB building on 6th November 2023, 12:30 pm. The faculty's dedication to organizing such sessions showcases its commitment to providing holistic education and preparing students for successful careers in management sciences. The students attended from different levels and majors from the faculty.

The session was interactive and links between students’ academic studies and real-life. The session was organized by the Faculty of Management Sciences, under the supervision Professor Heba Helmy and organized by Dr. Asmaa Hamdy.

The Faculty of Management Sciences arranged a remarkable occasion with the goal of providing all students with a thorough education and useful perspectives. Amr Hussein Elalfy, a seasoned professional with more than 25 years of leadership experience in prominent financial organizations such as CI Capital, SHUAA Securities Egypt, and Mubasher Financial Services, was the guest speaker.

The Faculty's Vice Deanship for Education and Student Affairs organized a meeting for first-year students with the Dean, Professor Amany Fahmy, and other faculty members. The meeting focused on the importance of balancing academic progress and participation in student activities, following educational rules, and accessing student support services.

The Faculty of Management Sciences had a highly successful session presented by three of accounting graduates which took on Saturday October 28, 2023, at 10:30 am in Room B242.  The event was supervised and chaired by Professor Mohamed El-Deeb, the head of the accounting department, and organized by Dr. Zakia Abdelmoneim, the accounting department coordinator.

The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) organised a successful session "Accounting profession in the era of AI", presented by "Mr. Mahmoud Hamouda " a member of the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (Michigan State), which took place on October 21, 2023, at 10:30 am at the Student Services Building (SSB).

The event was chaired by Professor Mohamed El-Deeb, Head of the Accounting Department with the attendance of Teaching Assistant Yomna Elaraby. The session focused to provide attendees with a thorough understanding of the different types of professional accounting certificates, particularly in the field of accounting.

This journal has earned a remarkable evaluation from the Supreme Council of Universities—a recognition that sets it apart from other prestigious faculties and universities.

The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) announces the completion of an incredibly successful round of graduation projects!

A total of 248 students across four majors - Accounting, Economics, Marketing and International Business, and Managing Information Systems - presented their dissertations, with an impressive 107 projects discussed in total tackling real-world problems and providing valuable solutions and recommendations for a range of different sectors and industries with a focus on both the Egyptian Vision 2030 and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.

The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) is delighted to announce a highly successful session entitled "How to Join the Job Market" which took place on May 18th 2023 at 12:30 pm.

The session was highly beneficial for all attendees, as it provided valuable insights into the importance of applying in internships and field training opportunities during the university years and how the students can improve their employability skills during their years of education. The session also discussed tips on how to write a distinguished CV.

Furthermore, this session was organized by Acting Director of Alumni and the Field Training Department of the Faculty of Management Sciences Ms Sara Noureldin, and featured by distinguished speakers Dr. Doaa Mohamed Ayman and Ms Aya Maher from Nitidus Holding Group.

The Faculty of Management Sciences has the pleasure to congratulate Dr. Heba Mohamed Adel, the Associate Professor of Business Administration and Acting Head of Human Resources Management Department on being the first one in MSA University and one of the very few in Egypt to be awarded the status of the Senior Fellow of the British Advance Higher Education in recognition of attainment against the UK professional standards framework for teaching and learning support in higher education.

Faculty of Management Sciences organized a highly informative session on the topic of Misleading Ads on 15th May 2023 at the faculty building. The session was delivered by Mr. Mohamed Yaseer, the Director of Public Relations to Combat Misleading Advertisements, and Dr. Shamiaa Salma from the Public Relation, who discussed the issue of misleading advertisements and how students can protect themselves, as well as the role of the Consumer Protection Agency.

The session was expertly organized by Professor Doaa Abdou, the Vice Dean of Graduate Studies, and attended by faculty members and students from all majors. The session included a Q&A segment, which allowed for student engagement and addressing their queries.

The Faculty of Management Sciences is delighted to announce a highly successful event titled "Sharing Graduate Attributes", which took place on May 14th, 2023, at 12:30 pm. The event was organized by the esteemed Professor Doaa Abdou, the Vice-Dean for Post Graduates studies, and featured two distinguished speakers: Miss Dina Abdel Aziz, an accomplished MENA Learning Manager at Abwaab Company, and Miss Nora Shawky, a renowned Legal Advisor in the International Committee of the Red Cross.

During the event, the speakers shared their invaluable life experiences in their respective jobs and provided expert advice to graduate students on how to maximize the benefits of their university studies. They offered practical tips and tools to help students develop the necessary skills and attributes required to succeed in their chosen career paths. We are delighted to announce that today marks the 4th and final day of the ERP course (Enterprise Resources Planning System) exclusively designed for our graduates and senior students.

The Faculty of Management Sciences and MSA Alumni Unit in collaboration with Ultimate Academy offered a series of training courses for the Faculty of Management fresh graduates and students expected to graduate on ERP. An Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is a compact software that helps control different or all parts of business. There are different modules for different scopes of business with practices to record data and to generate transactions.

The training was conducted by Ultimate Academy which has signed a protocol with the Faculty of Management Sciences. Ultimate Academy is the Egyptian branch of the multinational company Ultimate Solutions that has offices in 24 different countries. Ultimate Solutions is a specialized corporation in the production, development and marketing of ERP solutions for the global market. It aims at training students in ERP systems to provide the labor market with a qualified workforce.

Within the framework of providing distinguished job opportunities for graduates of the Faculty of Management Sciences in major local and international companies and institutions in addition to the implementation of training programs offered to students. Also, within the framework of the cooperation protocol between the Accounting Department at the Faculty of Management Sciences and the Egyptian Association of Accountants and Auditors, a symposium was held entitled " Challenges Facing the Accounting and Auditing Profession in the Age of Artificial Intelligence" under the supervision of Prof. Mohamed El-Deeb, Chairman of the Accounting Department, with the presence of Mr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Director of the Egyptian Association of Accountants and Auditors, Dr. Gamal Bashandy, Auditor of the Central Auditing Organization, and Mr. Amr Kambal, Director of the Internal Control Department at Beltone Company.

The Faculty of Management Sciences invited Ultimate Academy to give a session to third and fourth level Major Accounting students about the second round ERP course to be provided by Mr. Mohamed El Wakeel, the head of training department. This session was held on Tuesday 21st of February, 2023.

The Community Service Unit at the Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) signed a cooperation protocol with the BEDO Company. one of the leading companies in the field of educational solutions that enhance learning in engineering, and technological education, vocational training centers, and technical schools as well as STEM education.

The Faculty of Management Sciences invited Mr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman the HR Recruitment Business Partner Manager in QNB AlAhly to discuss with students their futures, specifically focusing on job search techniques and networking.

The 4th year Economics major students got the opportunity to attend with Dr Amal Soliman, their Economics Instructor an Economic Conference titled "The Role of the Banking Sector in the latest International Economic Crisis" under the auspices of Dr Mostafa ElFiky and The Economist Mr Hesham Okasha. The conference presented many economic issues that are of great interest to our students who are eager to know a lot of what is happening in the real world and the steps that the government is planning to take to engage  more in development and digital transformation. it took place in St.Regis Hotel, in the 20th Dec.

Mohamed Samir, was a Class of 2019 graduate, who is currently working as a Senior Analyst and head of Global Insights Group (GIG).

Abdelaziz El Sheshingy, was a Class of 2019 graduate, who is currently working as a Business Analyst at Talaat Moustafa Group and a Co-Founder and Finance Director at Empower Football Academy.

The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) conducted a session entitled “Crafting Your Future” session three that was given by one of our Faculty’s graduates Mariam Onsi

Mariam began her journey just after graduating as a Teaching Assistant in the Economics department at MSA university until she got a scholarship to pursue her double master’s degree in 2018 from Université Paris-Est Crèteil in France. She graduated with MSc. In International Economics, Economics development and International Project management in 2020 with honors.

The Faculty of Management Sciences at MSA University is engaged to raise the awareness about the sustainable development goals (SDG) in order to encourage the youth on sharing their views in COP27 that will be held in EGYPT in 2022. In addition, the Faculty's community service unit intends to draw insights from diverse fields of study and to reflect on the quality of the environment and its relation to academic discipline.

In this regard, the Faculty conducted a seminar by BariQ - بريق Company entitled “The Role of Youth for Green Future” to enhance the students’ awareness concerning the behavior of youth and their role to save the environment.

The faculty of management is targeting to share in achieving the government goals for achieving the sustainable development goal and aiming to share the youth views to be shared in COP27 that will be held in Egypt.  

The community services unit aims to draw on knowledge from different disciplines and reflect on research excellence, quality, and impacts on the future of the generation sustainability. They organized the Second Symposium for research on the 12 of May 2022 at the MSA Campus which is organized by Prof. Doaa Abdou, Nadine Ame and Rawand Ayman. The faculty staff and the students attend the event and discuss the topic that tackles the sustainable development goals, decent work, the role of the innovation, corporate governance, poverty, and green Microfinance.

The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts has adopted the provision of public and community services and raised the level of students’ awareness of the potential capacity to join the labor market.

The Faculty of Management sciences organized a session that discussed how to prepare management students for the job market. The Faculty hosted Laila Mohram a guest Speaker– MSA graduates- who work in VALU Company which is one of the EFG Hermes company, which is a leading financial services corporation in Frontier Emerging Markets (FEM).

The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) signed a cooperation agreement with National Automotive Company (NATCO) / Mercedes-Benz, Automotive and Car Related Business.

Two teams from October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) won the “Smart Cities Hackathon” awards at Benha University and got the second place in the Smart Utilities track and in the Smart Waste track, the value of each is 3000 pounds. Additionally, they won the Economist Prize which is an additional prize for the best project in the use of financial resources in smart cities for the Smart Utilities track, the value of the prize is 5000 pounds.

500 teams submitted to the competition, and they were shortlisted for 40 teams, including 3 teams from October University for Modern Sciences and Arts The student teams participating in the "Smart Cities Hackathon", held at Benha University, were 40 teams representing 25 public and private universities.

They competed to work on implementing their innovative program ideas and solutions in the specific areas and tracks of competition, within the activities of the first day of the official competitions.

The Faculty of Management Sciences at October for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) organized the Advertising Projects’ day.

The Advertising projects’ day event provided marketing and international business students with an opportunity to present their proposed advertising and media campaigns designed for Egyptian Startup companies that support socially responsible causes in their business models.

The event hosted a panel of experts from Egyptian advertising agencies, marketing practitioners and academics to evaluate the students’ campaigns in addition to executives from various startups to see the campaigns designed for their companies.

The students of course MCOM 206 visited Baby Home School on Thursday 5/12/2019. They were a total of 35 students. They went to the school at about 10 am.
