Session on the Role of Youth Research for Green Future

The faculty of management is targeting to share in achieving the government goals for achieving the sustainable development goal and aiming to share the youth views to be shared in COP27 that will be held in Egypt.  

 

The community services unit aims to draw on knowledge from different disciplines and reflect on research excellence, quality, and impacts on the future of the generation sustainability. They organized the Second Symposium for research on the 12 of May 2022 at the MSA Campus which is organized by Prof. Doaa Abdou, Nadine Ame and Rawand Ayman. The faculty staff and the students attend the event and discuss the topic that tackles the sustainable development goals, decent work, the role of the innovation, corporate governance, poverty, and green Microfinance.

 

The symposium host four speakers the first is Dr Mohamed Abdel Dayem the executive Director, of the National Youth Platform Kayani. Second is Mr Ali Abdo –a sustainability and environmental activist holding three world records. The third is Mr Ashraf Naguib- who is the Chief Executive Officer- Global Trade Matters -a Private Sector Think Tank for Economic Reform. Fourth is the Eng Abdel Rhman Sherif – Research and development manager – Heinz company.  

 

After the speakers' speeches, twenty researchers from the faculty of management provide recommendations for COP27. They list it in the need to increase awareness and the importance of changing the behaviour of the human behaviour under the current challenges. They propose the need for transparent, coherent and flexible legislation. Transparent: to assure reaching targets with equity among participants. Coherent: to integrate other policy interventions and flexibility to adjust and correct structural errors in time. They link the dots by highlighting the important role of the partnership between government, the private sector, international institutions and the youth to create a sustainable world.
