Professor Dr. Amany Fahmy serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication since September 2019. Before joining MSA, Professor Dr. Fahmy was the head of the English section at the Faculty of Mass Communication - Cairo University for five years (2014-2019).
She also served as the supervisor of television production training at Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University for 8 years (2009-2016)
Professor Dr. Fahmy doctoral dissertation was a theoretical and analytical Study for the Egyptian Feature Films During the 1980s.
Professor Dr. Fahmy’s mission is to maintain the highest standards of education for communication scholars. She also inspires her students to pursue their passion in media field & helps them to acquire creative abilities and commitments to lifelong learning.
Professor Dr. Fahmy’s research interest revolves around new trends in studying media (media& gender, health communication, political communication & new interactive media developments).

Professor Dr. Hussein has been working at MSA since 2015. His experience in the academic sector surpasses 40 years. Professor Dr. Hussein has founded the Department of mass communication in several Arab countries, such as King Abdel Aziz El-Saud in Jeddah and The Kuwait University in Kuwait. He was the Dean of faculty of mass communication at Cairo university from 1981 to 1984.
Professor Dr. Hussein’ s doctoral dissertation tackled the role of advertising in Egyptian press. Professor Dr. Hussein wrote more than 15 books and 30 research papers on research methodology and the advancement of artistic, psychological, and financial aspects in the advertising agency.
Professor Dr. Hussein has also supervised more than 80 PhD and MA dissertations in Egypt and across the Arab World. His research interests cover a range of topics including the evolution of advertising in Egyptian society, methodology in communication research, and the media role in social development.
Professor Dr. Hussein’s mission is to advance the methods used in teaching mass communication courses and to guarantee that the pedagogy applied at MSA is competitive by international standards. Currently, he is working with other colleagues to create a scientific journal for communication and to establish post-graduate studies in communication at MSA.

Professor Dr. ElTarabishi has 35 years of experience, teaching across Egypt’s public and private universities, including: The American University in Cairo, Assiut University, Ain Shams University, Al-Azhar University, Arab Academy, Misr International University, and Information Technology Institute. Professor Dr. ElTarabishi has led the Journalism department at MSA university since 2000.
Professor Dr. ElTarabishi Master Thesis was entitled “The Analyses of the Cartoons in Al-Ahram Newspaper Before and after the Lifting of Press Censorship”. Her PhD thesis entitled “The Role of the Egyptian Press in initiating the 52 Revolution in Egypt” covering the period from 1942-1952.
Professor Dr. ElTarabishi teaches a number of media courses such as: Introduction to Mass Communication, History of the Egyptian Press, Organizational Communication, Persuasive Communication, Media Planning, Integrated Marketing Communication, Mass Media Theories and Introduction to Advertising and Public Relations. Prof. ElTarabishi has supervised many PhD Dissertations and served as an external judge on many others. Prof ElTarabishi attended and participated in many International, Regional and local conferences.
Professor Dr. ElTarabishi objective is to improve the quality of education and continuously upgrading and advancing teaching methodology and helping students to acquire high level of education and open up a brightening and successful future career.

Professor Dina has joined MSA in Fall 2023. She is one of the Board of Directors of (the Agency for the Marketing Research) in Cairo University. She has a solid experience in various areas in the higher education sector as she taught in several Arab Universities. In 2014, she was selected as a Jury in the National Awards for Saudi Media. Additionally, she worked as a Media Consultant for various institutions in KSA. Her main focus research areas are in International advertising, Consumer behavior, Globalization, Social media and Consumer empowerment and she has a lot of researches in these fields.

Dr. Mosharafa is a multi-national associate professor of communication conducting progressive work in the academic field for 10 years in the USA, UAE and Egypt. She earned her PhD in mass communication and a MA in television journalism. Dr. Mosharafa has field experience in news, advertisements, and drama production. During her career, she has received four grants, produced ten publications and achieved two awards. Her research interests include mass communication, political and cultural communication, and new social media.

Dr. Abeer has long experience serving as Principal Investigator on various research studies and overseeing international development programs. Dr. Yasmin Ahmed is an experienced lecturer and enthusiastic researcher in the Mass Communication field. She taught several mass communication courses, gave and supervised several practical training programs in faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo university. Her interest includes psychology of mass communication, mass communication theories, media and social change, Radio and Television drama, and media translation. She joined MSA family in February 2020 and appointed as Student’s Affairs Directors for previous and outstanding experience in this field.

Dr. Hala El Zahed has been leading the Journalism Department at MSA since 2006. She received her Ph.D in 2017 titled, "The Image of the Egyptian Revolution in American and British Newspapers," through a joint cooperation between European Union & Faculty of Economics & Political Science.
She teaches a number of journalism courses, especially the 400 level ones, such as Editorial and Feature Writing, Magazine Writing, and Dissertation for Journalism (Graduation Projects). She also enjoys teaching Film Critique, Introduction to Political Science, and Civilizations and World History.
Before joining MSA, Dr. El Zahed worked at the marketing department of the International Business Associates Group, the publisher of Egypt Today, Business Today, Travel Today, Entertainment Today, and La Revue d’Egypte. In the United States, she worked at the United Nations Headquarters at the Visitors’ Section and the Permanent Mission of the State of Bahrain, in New York from 1987 to 1996. She also worked as a researcher at WXIA TV (Channel 11), News Desk, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. El Zahed has research interest in Egypt’s image in Western media, history and politics of the Middle East, and global conflicts. She is currently doing a book review on “Rogue Nation” by Clyde Prestowitz tackling American politics across the world.

Noha Samir Mahgoub is the broadcast program coordinator, she has joined MSA family as a part time in 2015, then as full time in 2016. She supervised broadcasting graduation projects since then. Twenty years of experience with undergraduate students at Cairo University and other universities. Mahgoub is an IVLP Alumnus in Investigative Journalism, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of state. Mahgoub research interest is artificial intelligence in media, social media effects, new trends in health communication and social & cognitive psychology. Her passion is to encourage students to learn and discover their potentials in a healthy and developed educational environment.

Dr. Rania Shaaban first worked in Unilever being responsible for a marketing campaign for one of its soaps in the Egyptian market in 2002. Then she joined MSA University. Her interests include: Advertising, Consumer Behavior, IMC, Branding, Social Marketing.
Dr. Shaaban is an expert in NTA for presidential leadership program on free-lancer basis. Also, she is a marketing consultant for NEP that works with GIZ and UNIDO on free-lancer basis.

In addition, in 2020, two graduation project under her supervision were recognized; هن was celebrated internationally by Brunswick group who interviewed the students and wrote about their grad project an article that was published in 18 different countries; التار دايرة دمار won SECOND place among 57 projects for 38 national and international universities for a competition done by the Higher International Institute for Mass Communications – El Sherook Academy. In 2019, Dr. Shaaban was awarded the star of Mass Communication faculty “Above and Beyond” in recognition of dedication, passion and commitment in MSA. Also, her students won the best slogan in the national water campaign against 15 universities in Egypt (2017).

Dr. Reham Samy is an associate professor. She joined MSA in 2008 teaching Public Opinion, Mass Media Research, and Introduction to Broadcasting. Before MSA, Dr. Samy worked as a researcher at The Public Opinion Research Center at Cairo University from 2003 to 2008. Her research focus includes; social media, data mining, education and public opinion. She supervised a number of papers that students presented at the Second and Third Annual Media Conference held at MSA. She held a number of workshops and seminars to raise awareness regarding Ethics and Copyrights. Dr. Samy serves at the University Research Committee which seeks to upgrade the quality of research across the various faculties at MSA.
