The faculty of Biotechnology once again provides innovative means of education where on the 30th of April 2016 ,the faculty of Biotechnology launched an introductory session describing the format of the journal club. Dr. Amr Ageez, associate professor at the faculty conducted a presentation on the importance of maintaining scientific reading habits. The presentation illustrated the difference between a primary research paper, and a review, how to read a paper in 10 minutes as well as how to identify the indicators of the author’s main points.

The faculty of languages at MSA university has had the great author Youssef Idris’s Al-Farafeer play on a special show by the faculty’s theatre club offered among the contributions of student activity clubs, aiming the enrichment of the students’ awareness and knowledge. And the students themselves did a brilliant and contemporary performance of the play by depicting the 1964 philosophy with a modern youthful spirit.

The trip covered the main jobs for ECE Engineers in the station, ANA Masr Studio construction, control room and backup systems in CR, Transmission Room: modules and wave guide links, optical link and Satellite link, and antennas towers.

The Endodontics department of Faculty of Dentistry at MSA university has held a very successful One day course and workshop for Endodontics interns , presented by Prof. Dr. Elham ElShaboury and Dent supply company which offered the dental supplements and kits for the interns , the course discussed the new strategies of Cleaning and shaping process of endodontic treatment , the interns learnt how to make a maximum coronal access of different types and shapes of teeth , the design features , NI TI system and the thermal obturation system and it's good adaptation, the course will be repeated each month for the new registered interns.

The industrial project students visited the ice-man industry. They were supervised with four teaching assistants which organized the visit very professionally, since we were divided into multiple groups to avoid any ciaos and avoid any disruptions to the workers since it is a busy industry and time is a major factor in affecting the production.

Sonaa' Al Hayaa kids in dentistry
MSA university has invited the wonderful kids of Sonaa' Al Hayya assembly in Faculty of Dentistry, Dr. samah kamel was there to welcome them and introduce them to her students who gave the kids simple lecture of how to clean their teeth properly and how to protect their teeth from caries using simple stories , the kids interacted with the students in several games and competitions that taught them how to use the brush and the paste and their alternatives, Dr. Samah took the kids to check on their oral health to offer the possible treatment for those who need it , At the end of the day the kids was happy and they said that they aren't scared of dentists anymore .

LECTURE BY OPERATION MANAGER OF METALAB & A FIELD TRIP TO METALAB DIAGNOSTICS
The biotechnology industrial projects students had the privilege of attending a lecture by Mr. Mohamed Hussien Essawy the operation manager of Metalab diagnostics laboratories, the purpose of the lecture was to help the students with finding ideas for their industrial project proposal and to provide them with more prospects about tests made in laboratories and how many machines can help them in identifying the presence of diseases or abnormalities in samples obtained from patients.

Dr. Samal Tuliobayf, President of Kazakhstan’s translator, has given a lecture to the students of the Faculty of Languages at MSA university which was heavily attended by students and the teaching staff. She was presented by the dean, Dr. Soha Raafat and spoke in flawless Arabic giving advices about professional translation inspired by her own professional journey.

Healthier life with controlled diabetes
The faculty of dentistry has held the first event concerning the medical nutrition therapy and diabetes awareness , Tuesday early morning ,As diabetes is now considered one of the fetal life threatening diseases , Prof. dr. hakim hussien the professor of Oral medicine gave a lecture to more than 120 of students , staff members and faculties worker about the diabetes.
MSA Biotechnology Graduation Projects Presentation Day
On the 7th of February 2016, The Faculty of Biotechnology held presentations for the 2015 graduating students’ projects. The event began with a Presentation from the Dean of the Faculty Prof. Ayman Diab, and a hosting from the course coordinator Dr. Gehan Safwat entailing the current achievements. Accomplishments this semester by the students included acquiring new venues such as the animal health research center, Suez canal University, El Demerdash hospital, the biotechnology lab, NRC, Kuwait medical genetics research center (KMGRC), and the Ansary lab.

Mohamed Rafik along with 12 selected students, attended two intensive training workshops: CSEB (compressed stabilized earth blocks) and AVD (arches, vaults and domes) in Auroville Earth Institute, UNESCO Chair Earthen Architecture, from 8 Feb. 2016 to 20 Feb. 2016.

MSA Biotechnology receives 1 million EGP research fund to fight liver cancer
The Faculty of Biotechnology has successfully signed a contract with the Agency for Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) highlighting a research grant that would put an Egyptian team of multidisciplinary scientists in work for 24 months to fight liver cancer with nanobiotechnology techniques.
EPSF National Breast Cancer Campaign with MSA Participation
On the 5th of February, 2016, thirty five delegates from the Egyptian Pharmaceutical Student Federation at MSA University (EPSF-MSA) shared with other EPSF students from 32 governmental and private faculties of pharmacies from all over Egypt in the National Breast Cancer Campaign arranged by the National EPSF under the motto “Best protection, Early detection” in Cairo Festival City, this campaign coincides the international month for "Breast Cancer Awareness". The campaign was supported by BCFE, Al Awram Hospital, Can Survive and Pink Foundations, and was sponsored by Astra Zeneca, Andalusia Hospitals and El-Ezaby pharmacies.
MSA Engineering Graduates Wins 1st Place, Represents Egypt in Italy
A group of architects, among them MSA Engineering graduates, has won the 1st place in the competition organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture to select Egypt's commissioner to be announced as the curators of Egypt's Pavillion in the Biennale Architecture 2016 organized in Venice, Italy.

MSA University students are getting ready to participate in “Ibdaa’” (Arabic for Creativity) competition national finals, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in coordination with Al-Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
Arab Innovation Media Festival 2015
MSA has proudly organized "Arab Innovation Media Festival" with valuable participation from seven Arab countries and 9 universities: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (King Saud University), United Arab Emirates (AUS), Lebanon (Beirut Arab University), Tunisia (Tunis University), Jordan (Yarmuk University), Bahrain (Bahrain University) and Egypt who was represented by MSA, Cairo University, and the American University in Cairo, along with many officials, celebrities, and media professionals from all over the Arab world.
MSA Dentistry Science Club Calls for “More than a Dentist”
“More than a Dentist” is the event organized by MSA Dentistry’s Science Club that provided a spectrum of successful career experiences by young experts of max 33 years of age at MSA University. What does my future career hides? Am I taking the right choices? These are a common question that has lots of potential answers. How about that we offer them all?
MSA University inaugurated its dental clinics that are built on 2000m2 in its new Research Center.
This Research Center is a state of the art research facility equipped with the latest in technology, and cost over 12 million Egyptian Pounds to establish. The dental clinics have been equipped with extremely high-tech specifications that meet the U.K. standards. The dental clinics include a total of 160 high-tech chairs, imported from Germany, and two students are assigned to each dental chair, in order to increase their participation, and focus.
MSA hosts a Renowned Spanish Delegation
MSA hosted a renowned delegation from University of Catalonia in Spain which consisted of Catalonian Minister of Education and Head of Lildia University in Spain. The delegation aimed at signing a co-operation protocol between MSA and the Spanish ministers to enhance the efforts of researchers from both parties in order to induce the European Union support. MSA was invited to be an honorable member in the Mediterranean Universities League. They also offered adopting and financing the small and medium businesses in the university and academic exchange programs.
MSA Dentist's Visit Scotland
MSA's own Dr. Faten Kamel, Head of Operative Department Faculty of Dentistry, and Dr. Rasha Ramadan, Assistant Lecturer, have both traveled to the University of Glasgow in the UK on Sunday 17th of October '10.The reason for their travel is to exchange both universities' impressive knowledge and to observe new teaching techniques and facilities. They also made it a point to check graduate and postgraduate programmes.
MSA's Dental Health Awareness Group in Schools
MSA University"s Dental Health Awareness group of students and staff went on a mission to Nile Egyptian International School in 6th October City and diagnosed 200 children. This is because MSAians care for the welfare of our society and they believe it is important for young children to learn how to keep their teeth clean and cavity-free. For KG1, KG2 and Grade 1, the team told a story to the children about the importance of brushing their teeth and taught them more about healthy and unhealthy food. The children also learnt how to brush their teeth in a healthy manner.
Another MSA Medical Convoy to Fayoum
Once again, a group of MSA's Dentistry students and staff took off to two hospitals in Fayoum to play an important role in developing their society. The team diagnosed patients and provided free dental treatments; moreover, a number of oral surgeries were performed to patients with severe cases. It's noteworthy that all patients were donated free antibiotics and analgesics when needed. This convoy was prosperous in many ways as it has provided students with the experience of dealing with several medical conditions and allowed them to work in a different environment than the one they are used to.
