MSA Pharmacy Faculty Hosts Hand Hygiene and Infection Control Awareness Event

The Faculty of Pharmacy at MSA University, under the umbrella of the Model World Health Organization (mWHO) student activity, successfully organized an awareness event on 12th May 2026, under the title of Hand Hygiene and Infection Control presented by Dr. Ahmed Askar, Head of the Infection Control Unit at Ahl Masr Hospital.

The event highlighted the critical role of proper hand hygiene practices in preventing the spread of infections and promoting patient safety within healthcare settings and the community. Through an informative and interactive session, Dr. Ahmed Askar discussed effective handwashing techniques, infection prevention measures, and the importance of infection control compliance in healthcare institutions.

The event witnessed active attendance and engagement from pharmacy students, laboratory technicians from different disciplines including dentistry, housekeeping staff, and students from various academic backgrounds, reflecting a collective commitment toward promoting a safer and healthier environment across the university community.
