Dr. Mohamed M. Radwan
Head of the Research & Innovation Unit · Associate Professor of Fixed Prosthodontics
Dr. Radwan leads MSA University's research and innovation strategy, builds international partnerships, secures competitive funding, and drives the translation of university research into real-world innovation. With over 15 years in dental research and academic leadership, he is also a Visiting Researcher at the Centre for Precision Technologies, University of Huddersfield, UK, working on advanced biomedical 3D printing and precision manufacturing for personalized maxillofacial rehabilitation. His funded projects span British Council, STDF, and Horizon Europe initiatives.

Discipline Leads
Prof. Tamer M. Nassef
Vice Dean for Education & Student Affairs, Professor of Modeling & Simulation, and Chairperson of the IEEE Industry Applications Society – Egypt Chapter. His AI, computer vision, and digital-twin research support the RIU's global partnership and capacity-building efforts.

Professor of Restorative Dentistry with 17+ years of academic, clinical, and research experience in minimally invasive dentistry, biomaterials, and AI in healthcare. Active in developing competitive international research proposals and building interdisciplinary research capacity.
Prof. Dr. Iman Gomaa
Professor of Biomedical Sciences researching molecular biology, cancer therapeutics, nanomedicine, and gene therapy. Holder of an international patent in nanoparticle-based cancer therapy, with postdoctoral experience at Mount Sinai and Sorbonne University.
Dr. Asmaa El Mahdy
Associate Professor of Accounting & Finance and Programme Coordinator of Finance & Investment Management. Researches corporate governance, sustainable finance, and ESG, and serves as an Independent Board Member across financial and industrial companies.
Dr. Shereen Assem Elsherif
Specialist in Conservative Dentistry researching caries risk assessment, diagnostic accuracy, and AI applications in dentistry — bringing an evidence-based, data-driven lens to tracking RIU research performance and outcomes.
Organizational Structure
The RIU is headed by the Director of Research & Innovation and operates through eight core offices covering the full research-to-impact lifecycle. Five are led by named discipline leads; the remaining three are coordinated centrally by the Director's office.
