MSA University — Est. 1996
Faculty of Biotechnology

A Multidisciplinary Hub at the Frontier of Applied Science

The Prototyping Research Lab (PRL) at MSA University was founded to bridge the gap between biological research and engineering realization. Operating within the Faculty of Biotechnology, the lab uniquely integrates life sciences with electronics, computing, and fabrication.

Our philosophy is simple: if it can be designed, it can be built. From automated microbial evolution systems to AI-powered biosensors, every project is driven by a commitment to open science and practical impact.

Interdisciplinary team spanning biology, engineering, software, and design
Open-source hardware philosophy — instruments accessible to all researchers
Student-led prototyping directly contributing to real scientific problems
Active collaborations with industry partners and MSA faculties
