
Dean of Engineering and CSE Head Honour Hackathon Winners and Participants
The Faculty of Engineering at MSA University held a special ceremony at the Dean’s Office to honour the winners and participants of the Computer Systems Engineering Hackathon. Prof. Dr. Nahed Sobhi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Dr. Samer Ibrahim, Head of the Computer Systems Engineering Department, personally recognised the students’ creativity, technical excellence, teamwork, and commitment to developing innovative technology solutions, in the presence of Dr. Mona Farouk, Head of the Innovation Hub.
First place was awarded to Pyromancers, represented by Mahmoud Mohamed, Ayman Negm, Pierre Ramez, Mohamed Saafan, and Ahmed Essam. PowerRangers – Youssef Azzam, Hady Dawoud, Omar Mohamed, Raya El Said, and Youssef Mohamed Sameh Hussein Saad Gabr – received second place. Engineers Minds – Hana Ebrahiem, Anas Mohamed, and Sameh Reda – received third place. Magda Elaidy, Ahmed Amr Ahmed Ismail Gabr, Maria Younan Anwer Boctor, and Yahia Maghawry were also recognised for their participation.
The ceremony celebrated the students’ ability to transform ideas into meaningful technical prototypes and gave their work visible recognition from the Faculty’s academic leadership. Initiatives of this kind strengthen hands-on learning, encourage innovation, and prepare students to address real-world engineering challenges.
