ARTS & DESIGN students produce innovative work in a dynamic studio-led environment, supported by the highest caliber of studios, facilities and staff who are passionate about their profession. Intensive practice techniques will have you gaining hands-on experience in the fields of Interior Design, Graphic and Media Arts, Fashion design or Landscape Design.

To graduate distinguished and progressive artists and designers for our local and international communities and instill in them the knowledge, skills and techniques that will make them excel in their careers.
MISSION:
Our mission is to develop dedicated and gifted students to become outstanding designers, planners and managers in the fields of cinema & theatre, fashion, graphic & media art, interior design, product design and landscape. We attain this by providing a strong context of professional education with emphasis on intellectual development and creative activity, based on liberal arts and sciences. We will support this by encouraging independent learning through studio based curricula and research-oriented thesis programs.
ACADEMIC STANDARDS:
The Faculty of Arts and Design adopted the National Academic Standards for the Applied Arts sector in January 2009 (https://admin.naqaae.eg/api/v1/archive/download/4752) , covering the Fashion Design, Interior Design, and Graphics programs. Additionally, the Faculty adopted the National Academic Standards for the Fine Arts sector in January 2010 (https://admin.naqaae.eg/api/v1/archive/download/4795) for the Cinema and Theatre program.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES (2020-2025):
The strategic goals are based on key pillars: education, scientific research, enhancing community engagement, promoting development and sustainability, and developing the capabilities of faculty members, their assistants, and the administrative staff.
First Goal: Enhancing the Educational Process and Increasing Students’ Competitiveness
1.1 Establishing a postgraduate program (Master’s level) that meets national and regional market needs in alignment with the state’s strategies.
1.2 Continuous development of academic courses to update the curriculum.
1.3 Developing a comprehensive student training system.
1.4 Expanding self-learning and distance learning opportunities.
1.5 Organizing an annual scientific conference for the departments.
Second Goal: Developing Scientific Research in Alignment with Egypt’s Vision 2030
2.1 Continuing scientific research in fields that address national issues (sustainable development plans within the framework of the UN goals and the state’s plan).
2.2 Increasing the number of scientific publications both locally and internationally.
2.3 Continuously analyzing the labor market to study its research needs.
2.4 Organizing international scientific conferences every two years.
2.5 Providing facilities for faculty members to conduct scientific research.
Third Goal: Enhancing Community Engagement with Civil Society Institutions and Environmental Development
3.1 Engaging faculty members in community service and environmental development.
3.2 Maintaining the linkage between graduation projects and community service at a rate of 80%.
3.3 Linking scientific research with community service.
3.4 Organizing workshops during summer vacations to serve the community.
3.5 Continuously holding exhibitions of students’ work to help create job opportunities for them.
3.6 Consistently providing consulting and research services through cooperation with the industrial sector based on clear contracts.
3.7 Continuing to publish a college journal to showcase the latest trends in art and design.
Fourth Goal: Establishing Policies and Systems to Ensure Continuity and Sustainability
4.1 Maintaining the achievement of benchmark ratios for faculty members and their assistants.

4.3 Continuously signing contracts with business owners and industrial organizations to train students and provide job opportunities.
4.4 Consistently adopting hybrid learning and distance education strategies as part of the college’s teaching and assessment methods.

5.1 Continuing to provide suitable training programs for faculty members and their assistants.
