
The Faculty of Nutrition and Food Technology’s First International Conference

The Faculty of Nutrition and Food Technology at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) held its first international conference under the title “The Synergy of Science & Health”, as part of the university’s ongoing commitment to supporting modern academic disciplines and strengthening the integration between scientific research and practical application.
The conference was held in the presence of Dr. Nawal El-Degwi, Head of the Board of Trustees and a pioneer of private education, whose vision continues to support academic excellence and the development of leading educational institutions, Prof. Nader El- Bokle, President of the University, and Eng. Engy Mansour, Director of Human Resources at MSA University.
The conference activities were inaugurated by Prof. Nader El- Bokle, President of the University, who emphasized MSA’s commitment to supporting emerging disciplines and linking education and scientific research with critical issues related to health, nutrition, and sustainable development. He highlighted the university’s role in preparing qualified graduates capable of addressing future challenges and contributing effectively to society.
During the conference, Prof. Ahmed Nada, Dean of the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Technology, delivered a keynote address outlining the faculty’s vision and academic programs. He noted that since its launch in the fall of 2025, the faculty has been dedicated to preparing highly qualified professionals who meet labor market needs in the fields of nutrition, food safety, and public health.
The conference also witnessed the participation of a distinguished group of leaders and experts, including Dr. Saad Nassar, former Governor of Fayoum and representative of agricultural sector committees, Prof. Dr. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University, and Dr. Osama Abdel Hai, Head of the Egyptian Medical Syndicate. All speakers emphasized the importance of integration between health sciences and nutrition, and the vital role of academic institutions in supporting this interdisciplinary approach.
In addition, Ms. Rana Gamaly, Vice Chairperson of the Food Industries Chamber, participated in the conference and highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships between academic institutions and the food industries sector to enhance food quality and prepare specialized professionals in line with market requirements.
This conference reaffirms the role of MSA University and the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Technology in supporting scientific research, fostering academic dialogue, and building effective partnerships between universities and professional institutions, in service of society and sustainable development.
