MSA Dentistry and Physical Therapy Faculties Take Health Awareness in Mansouria
The Faculties of Dentistry and Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) participated in an awareness campaign that visited a school in Mansouria, bringing together faculty members, students, and interns from both faculties.
As part of the campaign, DCMSA students and members of the Faculty of Dentistry team raised awareness among primary school children about the importance of proper nutrition and how to prevent tooth decay.
Meanwhile, the Faculty of Physical Therapy team designed its programme for students in the second and third years of secondary school through three consecutive stations focused on different aspects of spinal and postural health.
Station 1: The Spine and Its Function
Students learned about the spine and its function.
Station 2: Proper Sitting and Schoolbag Habits
Students learned about proper sitting posture and how to carry a schoolbag correctly, as well as how healthy daily habits can help protect the back and neck from pain.
Station 3: Digital Posture Assessment
Students underwent a digital assessment and analysis of their body posture, with each student receiving a detailed report on their sitting posture.
Through the campaign, the two faculties provided age-appropriate health education while giving their students and interns an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a community setting and contribute to promoting health awareness among school students.
