
Experiential learning field trip to the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA)
The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts organized an experiential learning field trip to the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) on Thursday, 14 May 2026.
The visit included a group of first, second, and third-year students from different departments within the Faculty, accompanied by Assistant Professor of Economics Dr. Amal Soliman, Associate Professor of Economics Dr. Esmat Kamel, and Assistant Lecturer Mrs. Salma Kamal.
During the visit, Ms. Dina Kamal, Financial Literacy Strategist and Policies Expert at the Financial Regulatory Authority, delivered an informative session highlighting the various banking and non-banking sectors supervised by the Authority, with a particular focus on capital markets, the insurance sector, non-bank financial activities, and fintech services.
The session featured engaging discussions supported by practical examples and real-life case studies, providing students with valuable insights into the financial sector and enhancing their understanding of future career pathways and market opportunities. Students actively participated through thoughtful and curiosity-driven questions, reflecting their strong interest and engagement throughout the visit.
The field trip concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony recognizing the students’ participation.
The Faculty extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Islam Azzam, Head of the Financial Regulatory Authority, for providing MSA students with the opportunity to participate in such a valuable and enriching educational experience.
