The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), through its Finance Club, organized a specialized seminar entitled “Bridging Theory and Practice: Risk Management in Finance and Auditing”.
The seminar featured Mr. Mohamed El-Touny, General Manager of Financial Reporting at the Financial Regulatory Authority, who shared his professional expertise and practical insights into risk management within the fields of finance and auditing.
The session aimed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and professional practice, giving students the opportunity to explore how concepts related to risk management, financial reporting, and auditing are applied in real-world professional environments.
Through direct engagement with an experienced industry professional, students gained valuable perspectives on the practices and challenges shaping the financial sector, while developing a clearer understanding of how their academic studies connect to professional responsibilities and workplace requirements.
The seminar also encouraged students to expand their understanding of risk management beyond theoretical concepts and recognise its importance in supporting sound financial decision-making, effective auditing practices, and responsible management within financial institutions.
The event, organized by the Finance Club of the Faculty of Management Sciences, reflects the Faculty’s commitment to connecting students with industry professionals and providing practical learning opportunities that complement their academic studies and support their professional development.
