The Faculty of Arts and Design is pleased to host Arch. Arturo Del Razo Montiel, Architect and Computational Designer, for an insightful guest talk entitled “Human + Algorithm + AI: Emerging Computational Design Workflows.”
The upcoming talk will explore the evolving relationship between human creativity, algorithmic thinking, and artificial intelligence, and how these three forces are shaping contemporary design practices.
The session will examine how human creativity, algorithms, and AI are transforming computational design workflows, from concept development and generative thinking to design optimization and the development of built environments.
Arch. Arturo Del Razo Montiel will bring an international academic and professional perspective to the discussion. He is an Adjunct Professor at Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla, Mexico, as well as the Founder of Artu_Nreal and Research & Design Formas.
The talk will also explore how designers can integrate AI and computational thinking into their creative processes while preserving the essential role of human creativity, intuition, and design intelligence.
The session will provide students, educators, architects, and interior designers with an opportunity to engage with emerging approaches to computational and AI-driven design, while exploring how these technologies can support innovative ways of developing and optimizing design solutions.
The event will be organized by Dr. Manar Eltanbouly and Dr. Rasha El-Shiaty, Faculty of Arts and Design, under the supervision of Dr. Tarek Saleh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, and Dr. Amany Mashhour, Head of the Interior Design Department.
Through this guest talk, the Faculty of Arts and Design continues to expose its academic community to emerging global practices and foster meaningful dialogue around the future of design, technology, and human creativity.
