On the 5th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, The Faculty of Biotechnology proudly organised a remarkable event dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer and extending our support to the brave women who have confronted this battle, both physically and emotionally in cooperation with the Embassy of India, Bonsai studio and multiple medical laboratories ( El Moktabar labs, Nile Scan labs, Marakezna scan & labs, Prana clinic) at the Roman Theatre on October 31st.

 

Yoga sessions led by Anita Solanki from the Indian Embassy and Salma Tarek from Bonsai Studio provided healing and stress relief sessions to these courageous women.

 

Within the context of raising awareness of autism spectrum disorder,,,

 

The Faculty of Biotechnology organized an awareness campaign on how to deal with autism spectrum disorder and the importance of psychiatry cooperation in order to reach a healthy environment suitable for children and university youth who suffer from this disease.

The Faculty of Biotechnology at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) invited all MSA family of faculty members, employees, and students to wear a uniform or a mark in orange, which is the color set by the United Nations to support the cause of stopping violence against women.

Breast Cancer awareness campaign 2022

Breast Cancer is one of the most prevalent cancer malignancies in Egypt. For October, the official awareness month, The Faculty of Biotechnology organized an awareness campaign for the 4th time on the early detection and prevention of Breast Cancer. Interestingly, the campaign had the theme, of shedding light on how medicine and psychology align to offer better treatment for cancer survivors, and their families. It had three major elements:

 

The Faculty of Biotechnology at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) organized an awareness campaign to eliminate violence against women over a period of 16 days, starting from November 25, which is the international day declared by the United Nations in solidarity with this issue.

Diabetes Awareness Day

Participation and positive interaction of university students in the Diabetes Awareness Day.

 

The faculty of Biotechnology organized the Diabetes Awareness Day for the second time, coinciding with the Diabetes Awareness Month on the university campus on Saturday, November 13, joined by the nutritionist Dr. Waad Amin, who gave a lecture on insulin resistance and the negative effect of unhealthy lifestyle and diet on the development of the disease and methods of prevention.

Autism Awareness Day

The Faculty of Biotechnology, MSA University, hosted an awareness day for Autism entitled "Autism Enigma: Breaking the Boundaries".

The faculty of Biotechnology is always keen to spread awareness about different diseases such as HCV and Autism.This year the faculty is preparing a huge Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign on Monday the 31st of October at MSA university.

Autism is the fastest growing neurodevelopmental disorder, it affects 1 in 68 children and is on the rise and even though science keeps developing every day, yet the majority of the people are absolutely unaware of the disorder and how its cases shall be treated.
