MSA Media Graduates Reach the Final Seven in “Ala Al Qad” Competition

Two graduates of the Faculty of Mass Communication at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), Mohamed Ahmed Hassan and Amira Osama, have reached the final round of the “Ala Al Qad” competition. Their awareness campaign, “The Tale of the Blue Treasure,” was selected among the competition’s top seven projects from 247 submissions representing 12 universities.

The finalists were announced during Cairo Water Week 2026, attended by Prof. Dr. Hani Sewilam, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation. The campaign was developed under the supervision of Dr. Rania Shaaban, with the participation of Teaching Assistant Rana Rashad. It aims to raise awareness of the importance of protecting the Nile River and conserving water, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation.

The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Amani Fahmy, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, and Dr. Hayat Badr, Head of the Public Relations and Advertising Department, in support of media projects that serve the community and promote awareness of sustainable development issues.
