Mass Communication Students Honored by NCW for Media Monitoring Project
MSA University students were honored by the National Council for Women (NCW) in recognition of their contribution to monitoring and analyzing 200 video advertisements broadcast during Ramadan 2026, with a focus on the portrayal of women in media.
MSA University was the only university to independently conduct the monitoring and analysis, highlighting the quality and impact of its students’ research and their engagement with important social and media issues.
The recognition ceremony was attended by Prof. Amani Fahmy, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, where certificates were awarded to Salma Wesam, Mariam Moataz, Malak Walid, Nourhan Ahmed, Karim Tamer, Raghad Mohamed, Haneen Hany, Shahd Saad, Sally Yasser, Ali Anwar, and Mohamed Ahmed.
The project was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Hayat Badr, Acting Head of the Public Relations and Advertising Department, and Ms. Sally Said, Assistant Lecturer in the department. Their supervision supported the students in carrying out the monitoring and analysis as an applied research project addressing the representation of women in media content.
This recognition reflects the Faculty of Mass Communication’s commitment to applied research, active student engagement, and collaboration with national institutions on issues of social and media significance. It also highlights the value of providing students with opportunities to apply their academic knowledge to real-world research and contribute to meaningful discussions within the media field.
MSA University congratulates the honored students on this recognition and wishes them continued success in their academic and research journeys.
