MSA Physical Therapy Hosts Neck Pain Workshop
The Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) successfully conducted a specialized clinical workshop entitled “Neck Pain Practical Guide” at the Faculty’s Outpatient Clinic.
The workshop was delivered by Dr. Mina Maher Morkos, Assistant Lecturer of Orthopedic Physical Therapy and Certified Professional Trainer (TOT), and targeted physical therapy interns and undergraduate students interested in orthopedic rehabilitation.
The workshop focused on enhancing participants’ clinical reasoning and hands-on skills in the assessment and management of neck pain. Key topics included impairment-based classification, applied regional interdependence, muscle inhibition techniques for the upper trapezius and levator scapulae, repeated movement testing and training, and the clinical assessment of cervical muscle strength and endurance.
Through practical demonstrations and clinical applications, participants explored how these approaches can be applied in clinical practice, helping bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and hands-on patient care. The workshop also supported the development of skills needed for evidence-based decision-making in orthopedic physical therapy.
This workshop reflects the Faculty of Physical Therapy’s ongoing commitment to clinical excellence, evidence-based practice, and continuous professional development, providing future physical therapists with opportunities to strengthen their clinical competencies and prepare for professional practice.
