In line with the Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA)’s commitment to strengthening its community role and promoting values of appreciation and recognition for the nation’s heroes, the Faculty organized a visit to the “Wafaa and Hope” Association for Veterans and War Victims, in celebration of the anniversary of the October War victories.
The visit was held in response to an invitation extended to Prof. Dr. Olfat Diab, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, with the participation of a delegation of students and faculty members.
As part of the visit, the delegation attended a seminar entitled “The Will of a Warrior,” which highlighted the values of sacrifice, resilience, and determination, while honoring the great sacrifices made by members of the Armed Forces for the nation and its security and stability. The seminar also provided an opportunity to strengthen students’ national awareness and sense of belonging, while emphasizing the importance of recognizing and supporting veterans.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Association’s Physical Therapy Department to learn about the therapeutic and rehabilitation services provided to veterans. They also explored the work processes and equipment used in physical therapy and motor rehabilitation sessions aimed at improving functional abilities and enhancing beneficiaries’ quality of life.
The delegation also visited the Dialysis Unit, where they learned about the medical services provided to patients and the efforts made to ensure appropriate healthcare. The visit highlighted the important role of the medical team in monitoring cases and providing continuous care and support.
The visit reflected the importance of collaboration between educational, medical, and veterans’ care institutions. It also provided students with an opportunity to gain insight into practical healthcare and rehabilitation services while strengthening their understanding of the professional and humanitarian responsibilities of healthcare professionals.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Faculty of Physical Therapy expressed its sincere appreciation and pride in the “Wafaa and Hope” Association for Veterans and War Victims, recognizing its efforts to care for the nation’s heroes and provide them with healthcare and rehabilitation services. The Faculty also emphasized the importance of maintaining continued cooperation and communication in support of its community role and the values of appreciation, service, and national belonging.
