MSA Physical Therapy Students Visit Bahya Hospital
The Faculty of Physical Therapy at MSA University, in coordination with the Women’s Health Unit, organized a community visit to Bahya Hospital – Sheikh Zayed, reinforcing its commitment to community engagement, health awareness, and women’s well-being.
The visit brought together faculty members, teaching assistants, and third-year Physical Therapy students to explore the importance of comprehensive healthcare, early detection, and the essential role of physical therapy in supporting breast cancer patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
During the visit, students toured the hospital’s Physical Therapy Department, observed real clinical cases, and gained valuable insights into rehabilitation practices that help breast cancer warriors restore mobility, improve functional abilities, manage treatment-related complications, and enhance their quality of life.
The experience also provided an opportunity to bridge academic knowledge with clinical practice while encouraging empathy, teamwork, and a patient-centered approach to healthcare.
This initiative reflects the Faculty’s dedication to strengthening partnerships with specialized healthcare institutions and preparing future physical therapists to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. It also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 5: Gender Equality.
Through such initiatives, the Faculty of Physical Therapy at MSA University continues to promote community responsibility, empower students through practical learning, and contribute to a healthier, more supportive society for women.
