Faculty of Nutrition and Food Technology – The Malnutrition Challenge (UNICEF Initiatives)

The Faculty of Nutrition and Food Technology at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) was honored to welcome Dr. Naglaa Arafa, Nutrition Officer at UNICEF Egypt, as part of its ongoing commitment to enriching students’ academic experience through engagement with leading experts in the field of nutrition and public health.

During her visit, Dr. Arafa delivered a lecture addressing malnutrition across the different stages of life, with particular emphasis on the importance of healthy nutrition and maternal nutrition during pregnancy in promoting positive health outcomes for both children and adults. The session provided students with valuable insights into evidence-based nutrition practices and the critical role of proper nutrition in improving public health.

This visit reflects the Faculty’s dedication to strengthening collaboration with national and international organizations and advancing initiatives that promote nutrition education, public health awareness, and community well-being.
