
Biotechnology Horizon 2050
The Faculty of Biotechnology at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) honoured the legacy of Dr. Osama Saad, keeping alive a vision that continues to inspire future innovators.
The 9th Biotechnology Horizons 2050 Symposium opened with remarks by Dr. Mahmoud Suleyman, Complex Genome Analysis course instructor.
Students then presented their review articles, reflecting strong research skills and teamwork.
The symposium featured a distinguished lineup of speakers: Dr. Christina Vimala Supramaniam, a Senior Lecturer in Biotechnology and Programme Leader for MSc Biotechnology at the University of Greenwich, UK, specializing in DNA sequencing and sustainable biotechnology; Dr. Arwa Mo’men Elhabbaa, former Bioinformatics Specialist at Colors Medical Lab and Teaching Assistant at H3ABioNet, with expertise in genomics and computational biology and Ms. Yasmin Hatem, a Senior Research Associate at Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357, focusing on tumor metabolism and drug discovery.
The day concluded with student artifact presentations, showcasing creativity and innovation.
It was a day where legacy meets innovation, and ideas evolve into impact.
