Faculty of Physical Therapy Hosts Advanced EMG Hands-On Training Workshop
The Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) organized a hands-on training workshop in Electromyography (EMG) for staff members and MSA Physical Therapy students, as part of its ongoing commitment to professional skill development.
The intensive training was delivered by the Electro diagnosis expert Dr. Negm ElDin Ragab, Consultant of Physical Therapy and Electrodiagnosis, Cairo University, and an active member of leading international associations (AIUM – AAET – ASET).
The practical training was designed to bridge the gap between theory and clinical diagnosis, providing participants with advanced competencies in neuromuscular assessment using EMG technology.
Participants gained practical experience in identifying and evaluating:
- Nerve compressions
- Muscle pathologies
- Nerve root and plexus disorders
- Facial nerve dysfunction
- Surgical indications and post-operative recovery monitoring
The course represented a valuable opportunity for physiotherapists seeking specialization in neurodiagnostics and electrodiagnosis.
