Mostafa Salem, who shared his vision on the importance of respecting identity, culture, and the environment in architecture. The event was a great success, with a large number of enthusiastic students participating and engaging in meaningful discussions.
Eng. Mostafa emphasized that true sustainability is not just about materials and technology but also about understanding the historical and cultural context of a place. He stressed that architects must work towards changing clients’ mentalities—shifting their focus from short-term aesthetics and cost-saving measures to long-term value, environmental harmony, and cultural integrity.
The session sparked important conversations about the role of architecture in shaping societies, and students left feeling inspired to push for more responsible and conscious design choices in their future careers.
A distinguished group of professors and teaching assistants also attended the lecture, adding depth to the discussions and reinforcing the importance of these principles in academic and professional settings.
