
Karen Shokry Wins Bronze in Karate Kumite at the 12th African Universities Championship
October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) proudly congratulates Karen Shokry, student at the Faculty of Pharmacy, on securing Third Place and the Bronze Medal in the 55 kg Karate Kumite competition at the 12th African Universities Championship.
Held under the patronage of H.E. Prof. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU), the championship brought together university athletes from across the African continent in a competitive sporting environment.
Karen demonstrated determination, discipline, and strong competitive performance throughout the championship, earning a place on the podium and adding another distinguished sporting achievement to MSA University’s record at the African level.
Her participation came under the supervision of the General Administration of Youth Welfare at MSA University, which continues to support student participation in sporting competitions and encourage talented students to develop their athletic abilities alongside their academic journeys.
Karen’s achievement reflects the commitment and perseverance required to compete at a high level, while highlighting the ability of MSA students to pursue excellence beyond the classroom and represent the University with distinction in regional and international competitions.
