The Faculty of Mass Communication Showcases Graduation Projects

The Faculty of Mass Communication, Broadcasting Department hosted graduation project presentations under the patronage of Dr. Amani Fahmy, Dean of the faculty. Outstanding film ideas to be produced in the upcoming semester were showcased, along with presentations of films previously executed by fourth-year students.

Students presented film ideas addressing the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations and aligning with Egypt’s Vision 2030. Distinguished experts attended, including Ms. Hanan Radi, Documentary Filmmaker, Mr. Zain Al-Abideen Khairy Shelby, Film Critic, Editor-in-chief of Cairo Magazine and Member of Judging Committees for numerous film festivals. Also in attendance were Dr. Reham Sami, Acting Chair of the Radio and Television Department, and Dr. Yasmin Ahmed.

Projects were supervised by Dr. Hala Galal, LA. Hussein Aziz, Dr. Nahla Sameer, and LA. Loay Fahmy. Topics ranged from intercultural dialogue and intergenerational understanding in Egypt to the relationship between inhabitants and place in downtown Cairo, as well as the treasures of Chemet, music, and Alexandria.

Executed films tackled themes such as artificial intelligence, fact-checking, the art of caricature, and war heroes, reflecting the diversity and richness of the projects presented during the event.
