Shaping Future Therapists: An Advanced Workshop On The Electrotherapy Techniques

The Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) organized a workshop on the latest electrotherapy techniques within the framework of developing the students’ skills and informing them of everything new in the field of Electrotherapy serving on various musculoskeletal and dermatological disorders on Tuesday 17th of September.

Electrotherapies are drug-free, have no major side effects, and provide a safe option for those in need of acute or long-term treatment options – some exemptions include individuals with cardiac pacemakers and women during pregnancies. For those with neuropathy, it is the best alternative for pain relief and does not interfere with other treatment modalities or medications.

The students participated in discussing the latest treatment methods with hands on in the electrotherapy lab in the faculty.

The Workshop fulfilled the following objectives:

3. Established Foundations of Clinical Electrical Stimulation

4. Examined Sensory Responses

5. Investigated Motor Responses

6. Assessed Effects on Wound Healin

7. Engaged in Discussion with practical applications.
