
MSA Students Secure 2nd Place for “Loopet” Sustainability Project
Students from the Faculty of Biotechnology at October University For Modern Sciences And Arts (MSA) have achieved a remarkable scientific milestone, earning second place at the 3rd International Conference – Faculty of Pharmacy, October 6 University (06U), held under the theme “Next-Gen Pharmacy: Green Innovation, Sustainability, and Artificial Intelligence.”
The award-winning project, titled “Loopet: Smart Utilization of Poultry Waste into Functional Biomass for Use in Aquaculture and Pet Food within Egypt’s Bioeconomy,” was developed by students Radwa Kamal, Rahma Hussein, and Research Assistant Moaz Mandour. The project presents an innovative approach to sustainability by transforming poultry waste into valuable bio-resources, contributing to environmentally responsible solutions and supporting Egypt’s bioeconomy.
Notably, the project had previously secured second place at UNESCO 2026, further highlighting its scientific value and global relevance.
The research was conducted at the Prototype Research Lab, Faculty of Biotechnology, MSA University, under the supervision of:
