The Architecture Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), in collaboration with ACT – Architecture Culture Time, is pleased to invite students, academics, architects, and members of the architectural community to attend the exhibition:

“Roots of the Future: Sustainability Between Nature and Heritage”

Taking place at the House of Egyptian Architecture in Cairo from Thursday, 17 September to Saturday, 19 September 2026, the exhibition presents a curated selection of undergraduate and postgraduate student work across different academic courses, including distinguished graduation projects.

The exhibition explores contemporary architectural approaches to sustainability through the interconnected themes of heritage, nature, environmental design, and future-oriented architectural thinking. Through their projects, MSA Architecture students demonstrate how architectural design can draw inspiration from cultural identity and the natural environment while responding to the challenges and opportunities of a more sustainable future.

The exhibition also provides a platform for students to present their academic and design work beyond the classroom, highlighting the creativity, research, and practical thinking developed throughout their academic journey.

Alongside the exhibition, a series of talks will be delivered by MSA faculty members and distinguished alumni, offering participants further perspectives on architectural practice, culture, sustainability, and the evolving role of architects in shaping the built environment.

Through initiatives such as “Roots of the Future,” the Architecture Engineering Department continues to encourage students to connect academic knowledge with contemporary architectural challenges and to explore design approaches that balance innovation with environmental and cultural responsibility.

The Architecture Engineering Department looks forward to welcoming visitors to an architectural experience that brings together heritage, nature, sustainability, and the future of design.
