The Interprofessional Education (IPE) Seminar – “Healthy Aging: One Team, One Healthy Future” brings together students and professionals from different healthcare disciplines to explore the importance of collaboration in improving care for older adults.
The seminar highlights how integrated healthcare approaches can contribute to better outcomes for elderly patients by combining the expertise of different fields, including Physiotherapy, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Nutrition.
The Seminar Agenda:
Through engaging sessions, participants will explore how multidisciplinary teamwork supports mobility, oral health, safe medication use, nutrition, wellness, and overall quality of life, while gaining a deeper understanding of the role each healthcare discipline plays in providing comprehensive patient-centered care.
The seminar will also feature the IPE Student Competition – “Healthy Aging Challenge”, where interprofessional student teams will collaborate to analyze real-life healthcare cases and develop integrated solutions that reflect the importance of teamwork across healthcare specialties.
By encouraging communication and collaboration between different healthcare fields, the event aims to strengthen students’ professional skills and prepare future healthcare providers to address the evolving needs of an aging population.
