The International Relations Committee at the Faculty of Arts and Design, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), presents the Global Voices Series, a lecture series that brings international designers to the MSA community to share their professional expertise, creative approaches, and perspectives on contemporary design.
As part of the series, the Faculty will host an online guest lecture entitled “Designing with Place,” featuring Eng. Nawaf El Nassar, an international interior designer and founder of 3N Jeddah, KSA.
The lecture will explore how culture, climate, local heritage, and traditional craftsmanship can influence the development of contemporary interior environments. Drawing on professional projects and creative collaborations, Eng. Nawaf El Nassar will highlight how designers can respond to the character of a place and incorporate its cultural context into meaningful interior spaces.
The session will also examine the role of cultural identity and local context in shaping interior design solutions, emphasizing the relationship between place, people, and the environments they inhabit.
The online lecture will provide students, educators, and design professionals with an opportunity to engage with an international designer and gain insights into contemporary approaches to interior design and context-driven practice.
