The Economics Department at the Faculty of Management Sciences, MSA University, is preparing to launch its inaugural “Economics in Action Day,” an academic and professional event designed to explore the evolving role of economics across investment, research, and career development.
The event aims to highlight the importance and wide-ranging applications of economics through interactive lectures and discussions featuring guest speakers and Economics graduates. It will also provide students and researchers with an opportunity to explore emerging investment opportunities, new research applications, and evolving career pathways for economists.
A key focus of the event will be the latest applications of machine learning and econometrics, offering insights into potential research tracks and opportunities for collaboration among faculty members and students. The event will also highlight new and emerging career paths through the experiences of Economics graduates working across different professional fields.
“Economics in Action Day” will feature three dedicated panels. The first panel will explore new investment opportunities for economists. The second will focus on emerging applications of machine learning and econometrics for economists and researchers. The third panel will explore new career paths and professional opportunities for Economics graduates.
The event will conclude with a special recognition ceremony honoring a distinguished long-time Economics graduate whose outstanding professional achievements have contributed to the field. The graduate will receive the Distinguished Economics Alumnus Award in recognition of his professional journey and accomplishments.
Through this event, the Economics Department seeks to strengthen the connection between academic knowledge and professional practice, encourage research and collaboration, expand students’ understanding of the evolving economics landscape, and celebrate the achievements of its alumni community.
