The celebration will bring together students, filmmakers, artists, and distinguished guests for a special event that highlights the power of storytelling through an authentic Egyptian perspective.

As part of the celebration, a selection of the best documentary films from this year’s graduation projects will be screened and evaluated, with the most distinguished works receiving the Awards of Excellence in recognition of their creativity, storytelling, and cinematic quality.

Celebrating Salah Jahin as Personality of the Year

This year’s celebration pays special tribute to the renowned Egyptian poet, artist, and cultural icon Salah Jahin, who has been selected as the event’s Personality of the Year in recognition of his lasting contribution to Egyptian art and culture.

The tribute will be attended by his children, poet Bahaa Jahin and Ms. Samia Jahin, adding a special dimension to an event that celebrates Egyptian creativity across generations.

Distinguished Jury

The competing documentary films will be evaluated by a distinguished jury of prominent Egyptian filmmakers:

Director Shukry Abu Amira — Head of the Jury
Director Hala Galal — Jury Member
Director Amir Ramses — Jury Member

Their participation brings extensive professional and cinematic expertise to the evaluation process, offering students the opportunity to have their work recognized by leading figures in the Egyptian film industry.

Special Seminar

On the sidelines of the celebration, a special seminar will also be held with the participation of:

Actor Mohamed Gomaa
Actress Salwa Mohamed

The seminar will provide an additional space for discussion around art, storytelling, cinema, and the role of creative expression in reflecting Egyptian society and identity.
