{Mai Hassan} finalized her Ph.D. degree at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada in 2024.

She received her BS.c. and MS.c. degrees in electronics and communications engineering from the American University in Cairo in 2008 and 2013 with highest honors with minors in Computer Science and Math.

She has about 10 years of experience in international companies such as Intel Labs, Huawei Technologies and Nokia Solutions and Networks. Her research interests include the use of machine learning, Deep learning and AI in the applications of Network control systems, Radio access networks and Mobile radio networks (5G and beyond).
