| Dr. Mai Ahmed Shafei earned her PhD in Cancer Metabolism from the University of the West of England, Bristol, United Kingdom. Her PhD focused on the role of dysregulated cell metabolism in the progression of breast cancer. Dr. Shafei completed training as an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) during post-doctoral research work at the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. She also has hands-on CRISPR/Cas9 industrial experience at Horizon Discovery, Cambridge, United Kingdom. Her research interests include biochemistry, Alzheimer’s disease, breast cancer, cell biology and cell signalling pathways. |
