Dr. Hossam Taha Mohamed is a distinguished virologist and molecular biologist with over 15 years of experience in Virology and Cancer Biology.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from Ain Shams University in 2004, followed by a Master of Science in 2011 and a Doctor of Philosophy in 2015, both specializing in virology, from the Faculty of Science at Cairo University.
Dr. Mohamed has extensive experience working in biosafety level 2 and 3 laboratories. His research focuses on understanding the impact of oncomodulatory viral infections on breast cancer progression.
In addition, he uses cutting-edge methodologies, including genomics, proteomics, and vibrational microspectroscopy, to characterize the breast tumor microenvironment. Dr. Mohamed achieved a significant milestone in his academic journey by securing the esteemed Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoc fellowship.
During this period, he played a key role in impactful research conducted at institutions including CNRS UMR7369, Matrice Extracellulaire et Dynamique cellulaire, MEDyC, Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne, France, and the Department of Cell Pathology at the Faculty of Biotechnology, University of Wroclaw, Poland. Additionally, he contributes his expertise as a reviewer for high-impact journals, ensuring the rigor and quality of scientific literature.
