Ahmed Refaat is an Associate Professor of Forensic Biotechnology at the Faculty of Biotechnology, MSA, received his PhD from the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University in 2009.

He has supervised thirty MSc theses, authored three books and published many papers specialized in Forensic DNA Profiling. His research interests focused on solving mysterious technical difficulties facing DNA Experts in analyzing biological evidencecollected from crime scene.

He has been worked as a DNA Fingerprinting Expert in the Criminal Laboratories and was the team leader investigating different crimes and mass disasters.
