Dr Gomaa is a Microbial bio-engineer, dealing with synthetic biology approaches, metabolic engineering, and automated adaptive lab evolution (ALE).

His current research project focuses on enhancing evolutionary engineering approaches through automation and machine learning toolkit (MLKT) to develop microbial cell factories.

He is am interested in designing, and programming cheap-but-effective microbial mini-bioreactors for long-term and unique experimental design regards microbial experimental evolution.
