MSA University Participates in the Arab African International Conference on Cancer

As part of its commitment to scientific excellence and international academic engagement, Dr. Marian Magdy, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Physical Therapy, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University), participated in the Arab African International Conference on Cancer (AAICC) by delivering a scientific lecture entitled:

“Advanced Physical Therapy Techniques and Technological Innovations for Children with Cancer.”

The lecture highlighted the latest advanced physical therapy techniques and technological innovations in pediatric cancer rehabilitation, focusing on their role in improving mobility, muscle strength, physical endurance, and functional performance, while addressing functional limitations associated with cancer treatment and reduced physical activity.

It also emphasized the importance of continuous functional assessment and individualized, evidence-based rehabilitation programs tailored to each child’s age, clinical condition, and specific needs, together with the integration of emerging technologies and multidisciplinary collaboration.

The presentation highlighted that physical therapy plays an important role not only in improving physical function, but also in promoting independence, participation in daily activities, and overall quality of life among children with cancer.
