
MSA Architecture Teaching Assistant Among Top 50 in Egypt!
The Faculty of Engineering at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) proudly celebrates a remarkable national achievement, as Architecture Teaching Assistant Mohamed Saad Mahmoud has been ranked among the Top 50 projects in the Egyptian Graduation Project 3.0 Competition, organized by We Are Desco and sponsored by Aedas, out of more than 800 projects across Egypt.
The project, “Textile Craft and Culture Center in Akhmim”, known as “Harfetna”, is a cultural and educational hub that aims to revive traditional textile crafts, support local artisans, and create a dynamic environment for learning, production, and exhibition. The project bridges heritage with contemporary design, celebrating the identity of Akhmim as a historic center for textile craftsmanship.
Developed under the coordination of Dr. Omar Fawzy and supervision of Dr. Shereen Abou Dagher, with the support of Arch. Merna Mohamed, the project reflects strong conceptual thinking, creativity, and a high level of design excellence that highlights the capabilities of MSA students and graduates on a national scale.
