Faculty of Mass Communication Concludes Specialized Script & Storyboard Writing Mini Crash Course

The Faculty of Mass Communication at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) has successfully concluded a specialized Mini Crash Course on Script and Storyboard Writing, marking the first collaborative training initiative between the Public Relations & Advertising Department and the Radio & Television Department.

Held over three intensive days, the workshop was conducted by Mr. Islam Alauddin, General Manager of Adobe Egypt Academy, whose extensive industry experience enriched the learning journey for all participating students.

Throughout the sessions, students engaged in a comprehensive, hands-on training experience that covered the full spectrum of pre-production development. The course explored:

  • Idea development and creative concept formulation
  • Fundamentals of script structure and narrative design
  • Professional screenplay formatting and storytelling techniques
  • Introduction to AI-powered tools for scriptwriting and automated storyboard creation
  • Visual storytelling and scene planning aligned with modern media standards

This interdepartmental initiative provided students with a unique opportunity to integrate both strategic communication and audiovisual production skills, ensuring a more holistic understanding of the media creation process. By blending creativity, technology, and industry-relevant practice, the workshop addressed the evolving expectations of today’s media, advertising, and digital content sectors.
