The Physical Therapy for Internal Medicine and Geriatrics Department at the Faculty of Physical Therapy – October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) held its Scientific Day titled “From Breath to Beat: Innovations in Cardio-Pulmonary and Geriatric Rehabilitation” under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Olfat Diab – Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy.
The event featured a distinguished panel of experts who delivered insightful lectures on contemporary advances in cardiopulmonary and geriatric rehabilitation:

Professor of Physical Therapy for Cardiovascular/Respiratory Disorders and Geriatrics – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Faculty of Physical Therapy, Cairo University.
Lecture Title: “Updates in Cardiopulmonary and Geriatric Rehabilitation” - Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Aziz
Consultant of Interventional Cardiology – National Heart Institute
Lecture Title: “Protect Your Heart: Lifestyle Strategies for Cardiovascular Health”
In addition to the scientific lectures, the event included a poster exhibition featuring student research and clinical case presentations in the fields of cardiac care, pulmonary rehabilitation, intensive care, and geriatric rehabilitation. This exhibition showcased the students’ innovative approaches, evidence-based practices, and commitment to advancing patient care in these specialized domains.
The Scientific Day provided a rich academic platform for faculty members, postgraduate students, and professionals to exchange scientific knowledge, discuss emerging trends, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration in cardiopulmonary and geriatric rehabilitation.
At the conclusion of the event, the top three presentations were recognized and awarded, and their presenters were nominated to represent the Faculty at the 7th International Scientific Conference of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation for Disability.
The Department expressed its sincere appreciation to all distinguished speakers, participants, and organizers for their valuable contributions, which ensured the academic and scientific success of the event.
