MSA Faculty of Physical Therapy Visits Baheya Hospital in Support of Breast Cancer Warriors
In line with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) reaffirmed its strong commitment to community engagement through a meaningful visit to Baheya Hospital – Sheikh Zayed.
A delegation of third-year students, accompanied by faculty members, took part in this humanitarian initiative to support and uplift breast cancer fighters. The visit highlighted the crucial role of physiotherapy in post-operative and post-chemotherapy rehabilitation, particularly in improving patients’ quality of life through specialized physical rehabilitation programs. These programs focus on restoring the functionality of the lymphatic and muscular systems, alleviating pain, and preventing complications such as lymphedema.
During the visit, students actively participated in educational and recreational activities designed to spread hope and positivity among patients. The initiative emphasized that physiotherapy extends far beyond physical rehabilitation — it plays a vital role in offering psychological and emotional support, contributing to a more holistic healing journey.
The Faculty of Physical Therapy expressed its sincere appreciation to Baheya Hospital’s administration for their warm welcome and their exceptional efforts in providing comprehensive, compassionate care that combines medical expertise, science, and humanity.
This visit reflects MSA’s dedication to promoting community health awareness and empowering its students to take part in impactful, real-world initiatives.
