
Congratulations to Dr. Islam Nasser on earning his PhD
The Faculty of Mass Communication at October University For Modern Sciences And Arts (MSA) proudly extends its sincere congratulations to our distinguished alumnus, Dr. Islam Nasser, on the successful completion of his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mass Communication from Cairo University, specializing in Public Relations & Advertising. Dr. Nasser graduated with high honors and with a recommendation for publication across all Egyptian universities, a recognition that reflects the exceptional quality of his academic work and research contributions.
His doctoral dissertation, titled “The Role of Digital Media in Improving Academic Performance among Egyptian Mass Communication University Students and Professors under the Consideration of Digital Literacy” (Arabic: “دور وسائل الإعلام الرقميّة في دعم الأداء التعليمي للجامعات في مصر”), presents a timely and impactful exploration of the intersection between digital transformation and higher education in Egypt.
Dr. Nasser’s Ph.D. dissertation was evaluated by a distinguished academic committee composed of:

Dr. Nasser’s academic journey began at the October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations in 2013. He graduated with a Very Good standing and received an Excellent evaluation for his graduation project, which was recognized with awards from JWT and MSA University for being the best Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) and most creative campaign.
He later pursued his Master of Arts degree at The American University in Cairo (AUC) within the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, where he majored in Journalism and Mass Communication. His master’s thesis focused on marketing and consumer behavior, titled “The Cognitive and Affective Antecedents to Consumer Behavior Towards On-Demand Transportation Services in Egypt,” further showcasing his strong research abilities and interest in contemporary communication challenges.
