In light of the implementation of cooperation protocols, the Faculty of Physical Therapy, in cooperation with the Egyphysio Foundation, organized a training course in the field of aquatic therapy entitled
Clinical Application of Aqua Therapy by Dr. Mohamed Nasser, Head of Aqua Therapy Department at Cleopatra October hospital. MSc, Ph.D. candidate, Certified aqua therapy ATFC.
Under the Auspices of Prof. Dr. Olfat Diab, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, the workshop focused on the crucial role in aquatic therapy by providing a low-impact, highly effective treatment option for patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions.
The attendees were trained practically in the hydrotherapy lab at the Faculty of Physical Therapy illustrating practically that the buoyancy of water reduces stress on joints and muscles, allowing for greater range of motion and pain-free movement, which is especially beneficial for individuals with arthritis, spinal injuries, or post-operative rehabilitation needs.
Finally, aqua therapy also improves circulation, balance, and coordination, making it an essential component of rehabilitation programs for neurological disorders and mobility impairments.
