MARIAM ZAKI

October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) congratulates the computer science student Mariam Zaki for claiming the first place in Egypt as part of a team comprising students from various universities in the Huawei-sponsored “Seeds for the Future” competition, under the patronage of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

The team secured the top spot in Egypt with a technological project leveraging artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things to address the unhealthy use of smartphones. They developed a belt that controls the user’s movements, managed through a mobile application.

Proud to mention that Mariam Zaki, a Huawei Academic Ambassador of MSA University, was honored at the company’s closing ceremony. This event was attended by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology’s consultant, senior Huawei officials, and the Cultural Attaché of the Chinese Embassy in Cairo.
