The discussion mainly targeted the review of the major features of HRM strategies after COVID-19 Pandemic, including: Reviewing operations and systems; cost centers with special focus on labor cost break-down; balanced and fair labour policies review; transforming training needs to fit the emerging business models; remote work and affiliated organizational structures; and performance evaluation direction shift.
Balancing the characteristically debatable views of the "regional labour representing organization-ALO" and "Arab labour governments' officials" in supporting labour forces; the "labour syndicates" and their pressure to ensure stable labour hiring and wage stability; and, the interests of businesses reasoned by the representatives of "chambers of commerce", formed the guiding rule that steered the direction of the discussion.
The discussion ensured the need for sustainable labour employment policies and regulations as a path to meet the challenges brought by the attack of the pandemic.
